It is known for significantly reducing transdermal water loss (TWL*), thereby maintaining the normal amount of skin moisture. Its abovementioned ability leads to increased skin elasticity.
In addition to softening and moisturizing properties, panthenol enhances skin reconstruction, resulting in healing action. Being a structural component of coenzyme-A, panthenol contributes to cell growth. Coenzyme-A has a major role in the metabolism of carbohydrates, fats and proteins.
